Evobac -STP

Bacteria for Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage is inherently rich in organic matter, ammonia, fat oil and grease. Most of the COD and BOD of sewage is due to organic compounds. So the success of the sewage treatment process depends on the speed of the microbial growth and the degradation profile of the bioculture mix. Effective sewage treatment requires a bioculture mix with a wide degradation profile. Bacteria in Evobac – STP multiply rapidly compared to inherently present bacteria in sewage. They break down complex polymers like proteins, fats, grease, carbohydrates, etc. into smaller monomers. Bacteria quickly consume these monomers as food. Evobac – STP contains microbes that reduce gram-negative pathogens in the sewage. Bacteria in Evobac - STP work in both aerobic and anaerobic environments since it contains facultative bacteria.

Anaerobic Bacteria

Benefits

  • Reduce COD and BOD
  • Lower Sludge Volume
  • Improve Floc Settling
  • Reduce Pathogens
  • Stop Foam and Scum formation
  • Reduce H2S Gas Formation
  • Eliminate Foul Odours
  • Degrade FOG

Features

  • Specialised fast-growing live bacteria in the liquid suspension (not dormant spores).
  • Quick reduction in sludge volume, COD, BOD and ammonia levels.
  • Degrade fat, oil, grease, soap, detergents, and a wide range of organic compounds.
  • Lower H2S gas formation and eliminate bad odours.
  • Lower pathogen count in sewage water.
  • Has bacteria that secrete powerful extracellular enzymes in sewage.
  • Anoxic bacteria that work even at low oxygen levels.
  • One-time dosage. Repeat dosing is not required.

Used For

Evobac - STP is used primarily at Municipal Wastewater treatment facilities, Hotels, Housing Complexes, Hospitals, Malls, Airports, and by private home owners.
Evobac - STP is used in all types of Wastewater Treatment Plants and Common Sewage Treatment Plants.

Wastewater Treatment Enzymes in Evobac-STP

Bacteria present in Evobac-STP produce hosts of enzymes. Here are some of those and their function in wastewater treatment. With Evobac-STP, you do not have to add any additional enzymes for wastewater treatment.

Enzyme produced by Bacteria in Evobac-STP Role played in effluent treatment
Nitrate Reductase Reduces nitrate present in wastewater
Cellulase Breaks down cellulose and similar polymers
Ligninase Degrades lignin, which does not break down easily
Lipase Degrades fats, oil, grease, etc.
Peroxidase Used for colour removal in effluents
Laccases Highly effective in degradation of phenolic compounds
Hydrolases Degrade a wide range of organic chemicals in effluent
Catalase Breaks down residual hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water
Protease Breaks down proteins in sewage and in food industry wastewater
Amylase Very useful in treatment of bakery, fodder, and poultry industry wastewater
